Choosing the right resort is a crucial factor that determines the quality of your trip to Hoi An. After much deliberation, Citadines Pearl Resort turned out to be an excellent choice for value for money.

I booked through a site called ZenHotels, which offered the lowest price compared to others, making me worry if it was a scam. A quick search suggested it wasn’t a scam, so I went ahead and paid, but I got anxious when the confirmation email didn’t arrive for a few hours.

Upon arrival, the spacious pool and private beach immediately caught my eye.
The private beach offered a truly serene and relaxed atmosphere, allowing me to swim freely in the sea every day. 🏖️🌊 The life jacket and towel rental service was also very convenient.
Room
However, the room conditions were somewhat disappointing. The garden-view room I booked was actually a city view of a parking lot and construction site. I considered upgrading, but with an extra cost of about $35 for 3 nights, I decided to stay in the original room. The room was a bit small, but they provided two bottles of water each day, which was a nice basic service.
Breakfast
“The breakfast exceeded my expectations.” 🍲
It was great to taste local Vietnamese dishes, but it was a bit disappointing that the restaurant was crowded on weekends. I needed to use a paper cup instead of a regular Mug.

Nevertheless, the food from the pool bar was really delicious, but little expensive because it was include service charge.
Lounging in the hammock gave me a true sense of relaxation. ✨
🌙 At night, the resort’s lights romantically illuminate the pool, creating a different kind of charm.
The location was also one of the major advantages.
The resort is about a 20-minute walk from An Bang Beach, Hoi An’s bustling area, allowing you to stroll along the quiet beach path or even swim to reach it.
However, the resort is a bit far from the Old Town, so getting there might be inconvenient. If you use Grab, it costs about $2 to $4 one way, or you need to reserve the shuttle bus in advance. Unfortunately, the shuttle bus doesn’t run at night, so if you want to enjoy the nightlife in the Old Town, you’ll need to take a taxi or Grab.
Overall
The spacious pool and private beach are the main attractions, making it an ideal choice for travelers seeking a quiet and peaceful retreat.
I especially recommend it for families or couples, and it’s even more appealing for those who cherish romantic nights and quiet beach time. 🌺💕
